Functional Paediatric movement disorders mimics - solving an Enigma
Functional movement disorders (FMDs) are a common occurrence in children. The phenomenological pattern of abnormal movement, risk factors, and treatment response in this age group may be influenced by the age at onset. FMDs contribute to a significant proportion of acute pediatric movement disorders patients seen in emergency settings. Our objective is to review FMDs in children to gain an understanding of the different aspects of their frequency, clinical features, precipitating factors, diagnosis, treatment, and outcome. Early recognition and timely management will impact the cost outcome, reduce frequent visits, and unnecessary investigations, and improve outcomes for the children.
Bookings will close from 14.00 on Thursday 18 July 2024.
The Zoom link will be sent to all attendess closer to the webinar date.
